Continued programmatic development and growth and influencing the field of family support both now and in the future is at the core of the Midwest Learning Center for Family Support.
The goal of the Midwest Learning Center is to create innovative training and program development to ensure that family support practitioners in programs and systems nationwide have adequate training and an understanding of family support and early childhood.

The Midwest Learning Center fosters synergy between centers, supporting collaboration and cross training in best practices for meeting the needs of every participant group, and strengthening Family Focus' capacity to share what it learns with others.

The Midwest Learning Center for Family Support continues to expand its outreach to professionals working with families from New Jersey to California. This past year, the Midwest Learning Center designed and provided training and technical assistance for over 2800 staff at some 60 community-based agencies and conducted train-the-trainer institutes.

In collaboration with IDCFS, the Midwest Learning Center's Foster Family support project worked with over 450 foster families, including over 1400 adults and children. This project develops strong relationships with foster parents to support them in providing a loving, nurturing home environment.
